To observe when things will rise or fall outside of the cycle, check for large updates like double xp weekends or fresh quests. Attempt to merch items which alot of individuals use for skilling, and also do it in bulk.

When purchasing on the market, I usually go approximately 5%-10% lower than medium price. You can then sell it once the purchase price climbs for 5%-10% above, or you can come up with your "wholesale" price, which will draw more focus from selling outside the g.e.

If something doesn't buy/sell straight away, do not be worried. If it does not purchase, it is because you are purchasing under medium price, and only people who do not care/are desperate for money sell beneath medium. If it doesn't sell, possibly it is a product that is not in high demand, which means you have picked a bad thing, or so the price you've set is too large. I would not recommend taking down the price before a day or two after you've set the offer up. Remember, merching doesn't occur over night; it require alot of patience.

I would recommend purchasing everything on the g.e.. If you're using raw materials like raw fish, logs, herbs, etc. I would sell on the road for a set price per item. If you are selling anything else (basically non-skilling items) then I'd say sell it on the g.e.. It could take a while, but this really is the best that you can cheap RuneScape gold do, as it's harder to find someone searching for ten dragon platelegs than 2k character runes.
