If boruto has taught me anything its that after one piece is found and the series is finished there will be another sequence. Probably place in the not too far future with another young plucky crew going after the name of pirate king.

I kinda see this narrative as the narrative of the past great pirate era. Kinda the way Naruto was put in the last great ninja era. If they do eventually end One piece and begin a continuation collection, following the majority of queries are answered, then I would imagine its set in the time of piracy coming to an end. All very much enjoy the way Boruto is put in a universe where ninjas are becoming scarce.

Rather I truly hope they take the current personalities and make a string of"what happened elsewhere in the world" during the main narrative, and only use that as an buy Animal Crossing New Horizons Bells opportunity to flesh out the rest of the planet.
