I am confident you'd rather see Runescape stay up

The matter with RuneScape gold, as well as all technology, is they are continuously advancing. Think back to when runescape was first launched 13-ish years ago - think about how technology and gambling as a whole have advanced in the previous thirteen years. Think about how many runescape players (myself included) left for additional MMORPGs that use a similar activity bar system. Of course I am talking of World of Warcraft. Now I'm not saying runescape should be more like WOW, maybe not at all, but many moos today follow the EOC-style HCI. Why do 99 percent do so?

Because its proven to work. Without upgrades like this runescape would perish, not only from a game point of view, but from a business point of view. Jagex in the end of the day is a business that has to pay its workers, cover tax and first and foremost make a gain. If they did not keep runescape on level with competition it would quickly lose out.

Progression and adaption is key to all things in existence, but with technologies it's even more important. You make the point that humans have become the dominant race through changing their sorroundings, but that's a really different thing. I don't know how old you are but think on the last twenty years - weas technology users, have had to accommodate - through the use of VCR to CD to DVD, throughout the usage of different interfacing devices (touchscreen is a huge one).

From the realm of technology, which gambling falls into, adaptation is nessecary from the end user. I am confident you'd rather see Runescape stay up to date with its competitors and survive many more years - but with a backwards attitude of"no major upgrades cos we don't like them" runescape is set to gradually burn out.

EoC isn't actually the issue. To me, it is just more clicking for the same result, and the highlight is having the ability to queue emotes. WoW I utilize 80 strange keys and there's a minigame involved with exercising DPS improvements or working out new approaches in PvP. Although I'm an old lover of thoughts commanding foes off waterfalls.

How EoC came into being is the matter. And it's birth is exactly the same as SoF, Solomon, etc.. Imposed upon gamers. One Jmod recently published about a poster on forums revealing some bugs in BA, it was good constructive comments. Later posters remarked that these bugs were found and sent to Jagex from the cheap OSRS gold beta, yet they still made it to live. So players weren't involved in the start, some 2 years ago, nor in the end.
