As you may or RuneScape gold may not know, Zaros was betrayed from the late Second Age by Zamorak and his warriors. Zamorak, through a series of events, managed to acquire the Staff of Armadyl - the weapon that Zaros sought to himself that he could be more powerful then anything, for he, even being the strongest of the gods in the time, could not stand the combined might of gods - and used it to banish Zaros to a different plane, and to attain part of Zaros' power to himself - thus becoming a god. But, what's Zaros' true allignment? Exactly what exactly does he intend? Could he really be evil, or great? Many, such as Senliten, the Pharaoh Queen, watch him as a foul monster, that allied himself with all the evil creatures of the world. However, ones such as Eblis imply that Zaros wasn't really evil - the same is true with Akthanakos and Azzanadra. Azzanadra, as a matter of fact, seems like a fair Mahjarrat, and chose to use diplomacy instead of mass murder and mind control from the Digsite, watching as it would achieve him the same. This goes against all we've observed about the Mahjarrat, believed to have been violent and evil creatures. The zamorakian ones such as Lucien and Zemouregal are really wicked, but what about the zarosian ones? Even Ali that the Wise indicates that we don't understand enough about them to consider them a danger yet. Given the recent events with Lucien and many others such as Zemouregal, we are more concerned with the zamorakian hazard.

Throughout"The Temple at Senntisten", you help Azzanadra, disguised as Dr. Nabanik, to reestablish the zarosian temple beneath the Digsite. After that's completed, Azzanadra employs the Communion Portal from the altar to communicate with all Zaros. Though he is not back yet, Azzanadra will continue to contact himto get additional information of what he must do to bring him back to Gielinor.
