2K has NBA 2K21 with what also figures to be a bigger and better version in its way to next-gen consoles coming out the first week of September. With an upgrade coming so soon after the current-gen variation releases, and with the NBA season ravaged by COVID-19-mandated delays, what if consumers expect from the PS4 and Xbox One variations of NBA 2K21? The 2020 NBA Draft nor agency won't have happened by the time current-gen NBA 2K21 is released. The 2019-20 NBA season will not even be done.

Because of these things all, anyone as we see from an 2K release, expecting as large of an attempt is very likely to be disappointed. All logic points into 2K rescue almost all of its ammunition or all. That said, what exactly does a suitable release seem like for 2K? I've got some ideas. As we have seen in the gameplay trailer which released last month, the graphics will be nearly identical, if not equal to NBA 2K20. I'm fine with this piece of stagnation while this might be a problem for some.

There is two reasons I believe we have already seen this generation of consoled pushed to their graphical limit. It's not going to get better on XB1 and PS4 than what we see here. It might be absurd to think 2K would love to invest if they stand to profit from delivering a version that will be hyped up due to how amazing it seems, in enhancing the item visually. 2K and every other producer of sports video games will need the difference between next-gen and present to be somewhat noticeable from a visual perspective. As a consumer, I'm fine with that approach.

Soundtracks are cool and all, but quite frankly, in investing too much into this part of a game, I struggle to find that the authentic long-term value. That is an opinion that I'm sure some will agree with, and others may disagree. Nevertheless, we have already seen the soundtrack which is going to be in the game, and based on your tastes, you're disappointed either elated, or could care less about the tunes included. I'm fine with what's coming on this front, as far as commentary, I can await the models for a leap in this region.
