My point was that the 3 Mario ports had good gameplay

Besides the poor images, I think New Leaf is only a more comforting and Nook Miles Ticket private experience overall in comparison. NH seemed to focus more on crafting and seasonal events/updates versus life sim components and profound interesting dialogue that builds character, which I definitely miss from New Leaf. They could release 500 more items in NH, but it doesn't fill the emptiness left by uninspired social interactions. How about Metroid? Nintendo is very careful about releasing 1st party ports for some reason, even the Mario vents had a limited time buy window, for no reason at all. When a computer keyboard is brand new, ports are a necessary crutch, except it is not new anymore, it's been over 3 decades.

My point was that the 3 Mario ports had good gameplay, however they didn't outshine the most recent iteration, Mario Odyssey, and all games still seem great in their own manner.

In the case of buy Animal Crossing Bells Animal Crossing, New Leaf makes New Horizons seem like a worse game since features were stripped and slowly distrbuted in upgrades over years.
