Book Update

I am told that six copies of my book now exist. I have yet to see it but am told that it looks incredible. Am also told that the Chief of Staff for the First Lady got a copy. (How can Mrs. Obama get a copy even before I got a copy?)  Well, that's the way the ball bounces. Production still underway. Delivery date still unknown to me but must be soon.

I signed about 5,000 copies in Nepal and shipped the sheets back to the U.S. to be bound into the books.  My Sherpa friend, who just climbed Mt. Everest for the 3rd time, slipped all those thousands of sheets in front of me for signing.  Those first copies are what is selling now.  Please order today.

I've been back in Afghanistan for about two weeks.  Have not heard a single gunshot or explosion in Kabul.  Soon will head back down to Kandahar where it's assured to be a different story.  Though Kandahar is the most violent city in Afghanistan, I was driving around there in about March and did not see any fighting.
