That's what this is, in an era where our local Cabela's limits 22LR purchases to 100 rounds per visit. Just delivered yesterday, via the Big Brown Truck of Joy and Goodness, via Ammo Supply Warehouse. I didn't tell anyone about it until I had it. Because one of you would have been lurking in the bushes waiting to score the delivery, and I like my UPS guy and didn't need anyone going all Jesse James on him...

Alcohol-free martinis... per a request from yesterday. From top to bottom - a long-lever, a short lever, a Gahendra, a Khyber Special (though well made, I believe the receiver may be original, the barrel is not, and swallows standard Martini cartridges), a Greener police shotgun, and a Kabul Arsenal (*not* a Khyber Pass rifle) .303 carbine. The pic embiggens.

Monty, over at Ace of Spades, lays out pretty well my thinking on the subject. I don't think we're going to find a smoking gun email that lays the IRS issue on the Resolute Desk. It's the culture of government. It didn't have to be explicit. It's just the attitude of the organization. I've been in and around the beast for 55 years, 35 of them cashing checks that originate in the Treasury, even if lately they've been laundered through several other bank accounts before...
